US Association of Glass request remedy investigations to China's glass products(1/20/2010)

On January 19, 2010, "New York Times" reported that, if the U.S. unemployment rate continues to remain at the high level of 10%, the United States will make pressure to the Obama government to raise the existing tariffs on imports of glass, especially from China, to set up the same protective measures on the U.S. glass industry as steel and tire industry. However, the Obama administration has not publicly confirmed that imports of any particular industry as an object of special protection. Many economists believe that, under the condition of the current global economy in reducing tariffs and subsidies, countries should strive to produce or provide their own most advantageous products and services, and exchange with the advantage of other products and services from other countries, in this way, it can get a maximize revenue in the global scale.
