China become the largest Marble export destination in Pakistan(3/7/2010)

According to Palestinian "national newspaper" February 21 report, Pakistan Stone development company recently said that the Pakistani government asked the company to expedite the development of indigenous stone, expanding export in order to promote the development of stone industry, and promote national economic recovery.

He said that Pakistan in Balochistan province, North-West Frontier Province, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Northern region has a large number of high-quality marble deposits. The Pakistani government will attract domestic and foreign investors, using public-private partnership approach to accelerate the development of these mines, mines and stone to build a modern city, and efforts to open up export markets.

It is reported that Pakistan is a major exporter of stone in China, the United States, Italy, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and Germany. According to the Federal Bureau of trade figures for Pakistan ,2008-09 fiscal year, Pakistan's marble export 48,000 tons, amounting to 13.56 million U.S. dollars. Among them, China is Pakistan's largest export destination, marble, when Pakistan exported 25 thousand tons to China, amounting to 6.68 million U.S. dollars, accounting for Pakistani marble, and the total amount of the total export volume of 52.1% and 49.3%, with the previous fiscal year, 23,000 tons , compared with 5.04 million U.S. dollars, respectively, an increase of 8.7% and 32.5%.
