Japan successful use of waste to make ceramic tile (7/8/2010)

One of Japanese companies use a successful system of waste glass tile, for the use of waste glass opened an effective way.

Production experiment showed that the production of such tiles, high bending strength, low water absorption, mixing paint when the color of good, good transparency, and compared with the long stone tiles, the use of low sintering temperature much more significant reduction in heat consumption units (from 1200KcaL/kg down 600KcaL/kg), significant fuel savings.

For the effective use of these waste glass, the company will waste glass tile system as a technology development project, expand the development, by using the following process, the qualified tile trial: The waste glass calcined at 600 ��, remove the binder, get glass powder, used as the main raw material, and irrigated clay, kaolin or bentonite ingredients, mixing grinding, spray-dried into a powder, pressed into billets, into the roller kiln, at a significantly lower original firing temperature sintering.
