Ghana will increase the volume of timber felling(7/11/2010)

According to a recent market report, Ghana will increase timber cutting restrictions on, the annual output of 1 million cubic meters up to 2 million cubic meters, could also be seen as authorities on the timber industry support. Cut down the amount of annual increase will better meet the timber industry in the demand for wood materials used, on the other hand, abolition of tax on imported logs to the appropriate processing can be more adequate working capital. Authorities in support of the timber industry in a short-term strategy is to reach a voluntary agreement between the Government and enterprises, improving the efficiency of plant operations, improve utilization of raw materials and reduce waste.

The increased amount of long-term strategy for timber production is the annual planted area of 30,000 hectares of timber expansion, while use of scientific research strength, reduce unnecessary consumption of wood.
