Successful New Invention, Ceramic Tiles are made up of Waste(2009/8/13)

Recently, people concern on one successful new invention, ceramic tiles are made up of waste. As reported, researchers use one or two of waste glass, ceramic powder and coal powder combined with sludge ingredients from wastewater treatment plant, instead of natural original materials. Use of grinding mixing, dry and wet to suppress extrusion molding, glazing or unglazing, through 900 degree to 1350 degree under the oxidation and reduction of the firing process to make trial tile successfully. According to standard test, this kinds or ceramic tiles, water absorption, abrasion and bending strength attach 0.1%, 0.01g and 285N, high resistant chemical, it is appear unusual under 30% hydrochloric acid solution and 30% sodium oxide in the water.

This successful research result indicate that using waste ceramic technology improve one new step. It will be best for turn it into industrial production. Due to using waste to make up of tiles do nott need raw material any more, it could devour waste, the research result also good for environment protecting, saving sources etc.
